question for the world at large

Wow - if you lived closer, I'd be all for the cleaning the house for cheap option, but the commute would be pretty tough right now. Plus, with gas, you'd just lose money.

I have no experience with the market research or surveys. I think there is a lot of money to be made on places like Etsy.com if you are crafty enough.
eBay is always good for a couple bucks. If you hit the garage sales and buy up the trinket stuff, salt and pepper shaker sets, momento crap, things that will fit in a 12x12 or smaller box, things you can get for around a buck, you can make decent money. I have a friend who makes enough to live off of by doing eBay. People are willing to buy crap at a premium. God bless america.
Have you tried THIS?

yeah, and etsy is definitely an avenue i'd like to explore... once i learn me some craftiness. i've got a couple ideas: knitting, pottery. but i have to find the free time and money to learn. but once i do...! :)

and yeah, the commute and hte gas would probably cancel out everything right now. oh well.

yeah, that might be an idea. start trolling the yard sales. there have been a lot of them around here, and i believe there's a big flea market coming up as well. i might have to give that a shot. i'm not a huge fan of ebay overall, it can be tough to get your stuff noticed in some of the bigger categories, but it might be worth at least a trial run.

and i'm going to have to check out that website more... it's intriguing.
