so this is the new year, and i don't feel any different
Anything can be turned into a drinking game with a bit of thought.
Ryan hung out on NYE; him and Charlie played some xbox game or another for a while, while I chilled downstairs with my beer. Not only is Charlie's room not overly conducive to more than one or two people hanging out, but also I really don't have a whole lot of interest in playing video games. I'm not very good at them, generally. That, and no one ever offers to let me take a turn anyway.
So when they had their fill, we tried to find something else to play. We've plenty of board games in the house: Risk, Life, Monopoly, Pictionary, Balderdash, Clue, etc. But none of these really caught our fancy.
Then Ryan came across my old Uno cards.
Uno is fun as a drinking game. If I recall correctly, it went something like this:
Draw Two = the person who draws also drinks.
Reverse = the person that the game is reversed back to has to drink.
Wild = whoever laid it down chooses who drinks as well as the new color.
Draw Four Wild = the person picked is supposed to drink four (the person who drinks isn't necessarily the same as the one who draws)
Skip = the person who is skipped has to drink.
On top of all that, each of us chose a color. If, on your turn, the card placed by the last person is your color, you drink. You'd think that would happen slightly less often than it did.
Feel free to borrow this for your next Uno card game; please give credit.
Just because it is the new year, and I like this song.

That whole album that this song is from is quite awesome. I highly recommend it (Transatlanticism).
